To my teachers, readers, and editors from the past, thank you so much for all of your critiques and guidance. Thank you for telling me that I needed to do more work, and show clarity of purpose. Thank you for not approving or lauding something that was not ready, even though it felt right to me. Thank you for getting me to this point as I compare my first book which sits in manuscript on my nightstand with the writing I’ve done the past few months. I’ve become a much better artist and writer in the hiatus.
