Hello all. Posting from what feels like a dream state. I read out for the first time last night! Thank you The Inner Loop: A Literary Reading Series for inviting me to read my work. I had a delightful time meeting other poets, like Ashley A Harris, and hearing words come out of my mouth for others.

Here’s a poem that took its time being born. When I’m not exhausted I’ll show all of the iterations this one took, even though I still think there’s more that needs to be done. I think it’s important to show the process of creation. I teach my students that this process while frustrating is one of the most fulfilling parts of writing. Hope you enjoy it.
